Webinar Abstract

Event Type: Webinar

When: Wednesday 10th June 2009

Cost: US$700

In this webinar, Tom describes five tests that nearly all leaders face: initiation (becoming the boss, taking the reins), battle, defeat, reintention, and--the ultimate test--telling the truth to oneself and others.

Leaders are always, in matters great and small, being tested. Everybody watches the first decision a new boss makes-it's a test. The way a leader handles a crisis is a test: It increases his political capital, or bankrupts him.

The test may come from outside, like an act of war or a competitor's move. It may be organizational, such as launching a new business. It may come from within, like a disease.

Use this webinar to learn...

  • The mistakes a new bosses make most often--even new CEOs
  • How to teach courage as a skill
  • What to do when a leader stops growing in the job
  • Seven questions that reveal whether you're telling the truth to yourself
